Country House Cafe - Travelers Rest, SC

My husband and I ate here for lunch, and it was absolutely amazing! We had the country fried steak, and it tasted just like back home in Texas. The fried okra was delicious too! The restaurant is cute, very clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere. We didn't get to try the dessert, but it all looked incredible. We will definitely be back!

Interesting meat and 3 restaurant off of Highway 25. Friendly service. Fairly varied menu. Excellent fried okra. Also has a lot of cakes and ice cream type things. Nice outdoor seating. Interestingly, has goats and sheep in a pen out front that are fun to watch.

Country House Cafe is a fantastic gem in the Travelers Rest area. The food is delicious. The servers and owner are fantastic. And the atmosphere is in the name... country. I even saw a wild turkey while I was there. Definitely a must for family dining. Don't forget the awesome desserts too.

We have stopped by here a number of times and the service is always excellent. It is the classic mom and pop kind of place that gives good portions, traditional meal options, and makes you feel good when you visit them. Give it a shot!

We've passed this place so many times and finally went for dinner tonight. Four of us each ordered a different plate and all four of us were very happy. Prices are very reasonable, portions are massive, quality is high. Our orders included the meatloaf, gyro plate, steak tips, and fried chicken. Two of us needed to go boxes for over half our meal due to how huge the portions are. We will definitely be back!
